Refunds & buyback

Last updated: 6 August 2026

In short. We do not give cash refunds on jewellery or bullion. What we do instead is buy it back — at the gold rate of the day you bring it in, weighed in front of you, for as long as you own the piece. That is how the gold trade works, and it is worth more to you than a seven-day window.

Why there is no refund

Gold is not a product that is returned; it is a holding that is traded. The moment a piece leaves our counter, its value follows the market rather than the invoice. A refund at the price you paid would be the wrong number on almost every day — sometimes against you, sometimes against us.

So we do not pretend to offer one. We offer the thing that actually protects you: a standing commitment to buy the piece back at what gold is worth on the day you return.

Selling a piece back to us

  • Any time. There is no window and no expiry. A piece bought from us twenty years ago is as welcome as one bought last week.
  • At the live rate. We settle against the Lahore rate on the day you come in — the same rate published on this website — not the rate you originally paid.
  • Weighed in front of you. The piece goes on the scale while you watch, and the figures are shown to you before anything is agreed.
  • If we made it, we settle it as ours. A piece from our own workshop is taken back after polish and the usual kat, and settled as a straight trade.

What is gold, and what is not

A buyback pays for the metal. Stones, beads, thread and the making charge are not gold and are not part of the metal settlement — they are assessed separately, or not at all, depending on the piece. This is not a deduction we invented; it is the difference between what gold is worth and what a finished piece cost to build.

Every figure is calculated in front of you at the counter before you agree to anything. We publish no fixed percentage here, because the honest number depends on the piece.

Before you collect

An order can be cancelled at no cost at any point before you collect it and pay, unless it is a made-to-order piece we have already begun. For custom work, speak to us as early as you can — once metal has been cut and a karigar has started, the piece exists and we will settle it with you as a trade rather than a cancellation.

If something is wrong with the piece

This policy is about changing your mind. It is not about a fault. If a piece does not match its tag — wrong weight, wrong karat, wrong stone count — bring it straight back with the tag and we will put it right at our own cost. Every piece we sell carries a verification code you can check against our records before you even leave the shop, and we would rather you did.

Where and who to speak to

Buybacks are handled in person at Bahria Town Showroom, Bahria Town, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan Mon–Sat: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Bring the piece and its tag if you still have it. If you are not sure whether something qualifies, ask us first: contact Aish Jewellers or write to info@aishjewellers.com.
