Savings programme
Build a holding in gold, month by month
Put aside a fixed amount each month. Each instalment buys metal at the rate on the day we receive it — so you are buying gold steadily rather than guessing when the price is right. At the end you take delivery in metal, or in a piece made for you.
At today’s rate
Rs 10,000 a month buys about 0.264 g of 24K gold — roughly 3.17 g over a year, if the rate stayed where it is today. It will not: that is the point of buying a little every month rather than all at once.
