Privacy Policy

Aish Jewellers, part of BlackGold Group of Companies, at Bahria Town, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. This policy covers this website, our savings programme, and the back-office system we use to run both. If you want anything here explained, or acted on, write to us at info@aishjewellers.com.

If you only browse or enquire

• Your name, phone number, email and message, when you send an enquiry.
• What you put in your basket. This is kept in a cookie on your own device.
• If you use the savings calculator or request a gift voucher, the figures you enter and the contact details you give with them.

If you place an order

• Your name, email and phone, and which branch you will collect from. We do not ask for a home address — nothing is posted.
• What you ordered, and the price at the time you ordered it.

If you open a savings account — this is the sensitive part

• Your CNIC number, home address, date of birth and father’s name.
• For an INVESTMENT plan only: the name, phone number, CNIC number and relationship of two guarantors you nominate. An ordinary saving plan does not require them. Where they are given, we hold personal information about two people who are not our customers and will not have used this website — which is why the section below exists.
• Your nominee’s details, so we know who inherits the account.
• Photographs or scans of payment receipts you upload, kept in encrypted object storage.
• Your plan, its instalments, your payment record, and the internal credit assessment we build from that record.

Guarantors are required for an investment plan, not for an ordinary saving plan. Where you do give us a guarantor’s CNIC and phone number, you are handing us personal information about somebody else. Please ask them first and tell them we will hold it. We use it only to contact them if your account falls seriously behind, and for no other purpose. We never market to them. A guarantor may write to us at any time to ask what we hold about them and to have it removed, and we will act on that even if you do not want us to.

• To answer you, quote you, and have your piece ready when you come to collect it.
• To run a savings account: identity, the record of what you have paid, and what we therefore owe you in metal. We cannot operate an account without this.
• To meet our own record-keeping and tax obligations.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to advertise to you anywhere else.

• Our own back-office system (BlackGold Suite). Enquiries, orders and savings activity are transmitted to it over a signed, encrypted connection. It is operated by us, for us.
• Our hosting and storage providers, who hold the site and the encrypted files on our behalf and may process them outside Pakistan.
• Our accountants, auditors and lawyers, where they need it to do their work, and anyone we are required by law or a court to disclose to.

We use a small number of cookies that the site needs in order to work: one to remember your basket, and one to keep you signed in if you have an account. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.

• Enquiries and calculator entries: up to two years, then deleted.
• Orders and their invoices: as long as our tax and accounting obligations require.
• Savings accounts, including guarantor and nominee details: for the life of the account and for as long afterwards as the law requires us to keep the records. When that period ends, the identity documents are destroyed.

Write to us and we will, within thirty days:

• tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete what we are not legally required to keep — and tell you plainly what we must keep, and why;
• stop sending you anything you did not ask for.

A guarantor or nominee may make the same requests about their own details, without going through the account holder.

Connections to this site are encrypted. Passwords are stored hashed and are never readable by us. Uploaded documents sit in access-controlled storage. Account access can be protected with a second factor, which we recommend for every savings client. No system is perfect; if something happens that affects your information, we will tell you.

This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly open accounts for them. A minor may be recorded as a nominee by an adult account holder — that is the account holder’s declaration, not a relationship between us and the child.

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. For anything at all — including a request to see or delete what we hold — contact us or write to info@aishjewellers.com.
